    Vacation Bible School - SeaQuest SeaQuest logo(August 9-13, 2010)

    June 2010

    Dear Friends,

Sea Quest: Diving for God’s Treasure is the theme this year for Vacation Bible School at Hilltop Covenant Church.

During the week of August 9 – 13 we will encourage children to dive into God’s Word and find valuable treasure for their lives. God loves us so much that He sent to earth His greatest treasure – Jesus.

Your family’s “dive team”, ages 4 through 12, will report to the “pier” at 9:00 each morning and will be ready for pick-up at 12:00 noon. Each day of the week will have a new Bible story, craft projects, music time, games and refreshments. We will also be focusing on how we can help other children find God’s treasure by collecting an offering each day to help provide Sudanese children with an education and a daily, nutritious meal. The registration fee is $15.00 per child. Each additional child in the same family can attend for $10.00 per child. (There is no charge for children who are enrolled for the summer program at Hilltop Preschool and Daycare.)

To register, simply complete the registration form and return it with the registration fee to the church office by Monday, August 2. Please make your check payable to “Hilltop Covenant Church”. We look forward to another successful week of Vacation Bible School and hope your family will join our crew!

    Sincerely,

Laura Winoski and Sally Huggins, Co-Directors Hilltop Covenant Church

    Hilltop & Angel Food Ministries

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief to communities throughout the United States.

The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, GA, and has expanded to serve over 500,000 families each month across 42 states. Angel Food is ordered as “units” of food, each unit selling for $18 - $35. Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for a week or a single senior citizen for almost a month.

The food is the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or outdated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Each month there are specialty boxes with steaks, chicken, pork and seafood. There are also allergen-free boxes and a fresh fruit and vegetable box. There is no limit to the number of boxes you can purchase. There are no qualifications, minimums, income restrictions or applications to fill out.

Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system. Hilltop Covenant Church has become a partner site for you to be able to order and pick up your Angel Food orders. The current month’s order forms are at the church office or are available on-line: Hilltop & Angel Food Ministries. According to Angel Food Ministries, “providing quality, nutritious food at significant discounts on a regular basis is one practical way to give people a ‘hand up’ during difficult times.”
