    Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is open to all singers grade 9-Adult. Prior choral experience is helpful, as is the ability to read music at a rudimentary level. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m.-8:40 p.m., and sings at worship almost every Sunday from mid-September through the first Sunday in June. Members may also choose to participate in special services such as Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday. The Chancel Choir is committed to bringing God’s Word to the congregation through its music ministry. The choir sings a variety of styles of music, from praise songs to arrangements of classical pieces. The majority of works, however, are anthems by contemporary Christian composers. The work of the Chancel Choir has serious purpose – but we have fun, too! New members are always welcome – in all voice parts – at any point during the year.

    Bell Choir

The Bell Choir is an intergenerational group of musicians who love to ring the church’s two-octave set of Malmark handbells. Any person age 10 and above is welcome to join. People interested in joining must have at least a rudimentary knowledge of how to read music – or be willing to learn. The Bell Choir plays at worship services 2-3 times during the year (mid-September-early June). In addition, some members volunteer to play a peal on each Communion Sunday. The rehearsal schedule is based on which dates the group will play at church, with 2-4 practices held prior to each of those dates. Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings following worship.

If you’re interested in learning more about either of the music programs, please email Carolyn Johnson, Director of Music, or call (860) 635-4032 (church number) and leave a message with the secretary.
