What Are You Looking For? Have You Found It?

Like the people that make them up, churches have unique personalities and finding a church to call “home” isn’t easy.

As you search, we invite you to join us at Hilltop Covenant Church. At Hilltop each church member is invested in receiving you with the love of Christ. Listen to these comments made by church members.

A year ago, my wife and I moved to Cromwell from our home of fifty plus years in Pennsylvania. There our lives centered around our little Covenant church, where we experienced wonderful worship, the sincere love of the members and the joy of serving. While we were moving, we wondered if we could experience these blessings in any other church – God answered that question when we committed ourselves to Hilltop. We thank God for our new church home.

Hilltop Covenant Church means a whole lot of things to me, but what it represents the most to me is a home. I know whenever I am good or bad I can return to the church and I will be welcomed with open arms. God always does this, but I think it's rare to find people who are like this, and I have definitely found this at Hilltop.

If this sounds like what you are looking for, if people are more important to you than programs, Hilltop may be the church for you! Give us a try. You’ll be glad you came!

    At Hilltop Covenant Church...

Our vision is to be a Christ-centered, mission-oriented, all-welcoming church family whose primary focus is to:

  • Invest ourselves in the people of the greater Cromwell community in ways and places meaningful to them,
  • Serve the disadvantaged and vulnerable in Jesus' name, and
  • Promote Christian knowledge through engagement with the Scriptures and one another.
  • Committed to this vision, we will:

Increase dramatically the number of people whose first contact with the church happens somewhere other than the church building and sometime other than Sunday morning.

Make available to children, youth and adults opportunities for "hands-on" mission work as we:

  • Focus on those not yet a part of our church family
  • Serve according to our gifts in purposeful ministry
  • Move out into the community to meet the felt needs of our neighbors.
  • Amplify our knowledge so that we are equipped to build relationships with our Lord and one another and are prepared to bring the love God to our community through service to our neighbors.

Develop programs supported by a commitment of human and financial resources that will lead to meaningful change in the lives of children, the elderly and others who are disadvantaged and vulnerable.

Create an atmosphere where everyone feels at home, embracing all God's children and attracting mission-minded Christians to more fully participate in the life of the church.

Become a center for service and outreach to our members, our neighbors, and the extended community of God's people around the world, engaging in partnerships with churches and organizations already involved in this work.

Conduct all activities prayerfully, to the glory of God and the good of God's people, because without God's hands in our midst and our hearts focused on prayer, nothing can happen (Ephesians 3: 14 - 21)
